IN BRIEF

14.02.09
Valentine's Day!
We'd decided not to spend money on cards and flowers :( this year, instead we went to the Spotted Cow at Holbrook with Lucy and enjoyed a marvellous meal.
Graham busy packing for tomorrow, so went for a walk on my own.

15.02.09
Got up and said 'Good Bye' to Graham and went back to bed (it was only 5.30am) Nice leisurely day as no lessons to prepare as it's Half term this week!
Took Lucy to station at half past 7 and came home to an empty house.

16.02.09
Had a strange phone call from the surgery (they wouldn't say anything) wanting to speak to Graham. Later the nurse phoned to explain that whoever had done Graham diabetic check up on Friday hadn't realised that blood tests taken on a Friday have to be sent off by 3pm ( the appointment was 4.40pm), so the blood had to be thrown away and he needs to come in for another sample. Seeing as it's taken about 2 months to get Graham to go to this check up, he's not going to be best pleased when he finds out. I think I'll tell him when he gets back...(in three weeks time...)

17.02.09
Big day today, my day out at Craft, Hobby and Stitch International at the NEC. Wasn't sure that Hermione was going to let me go, but we had a lovely time catching up with everyone and meeting some new contacts. Some interesting ideas mooted...
Home by 6.45pm, then had to put out the recycling - after checking with the next door neighbour what the new rules are that meant our recycling was left last collection day. Next check emails only to find I'm expected to find 10 knitters to appear on the Richard and Judy Show tomorrow afternoon. After a few frantic phone calls, I then discover that contrary to my assumption they want ladies over 60, not under 30...
All in a day's work, went to bed feeling decidedly tired...

18.02.09
Received another payslip from Matlock, which still doesn't look correct. Phoned to see if I could sort it out, but no one there as it's half term. So phoned the tax office at Nottingham and think I made myself understood... will have to wait and see!

19.02.09
Did some hoovering today and tried to make the house just a little tidier than of late.
Really busy week on the website.

20.02.09
Phoned up about applying to take workshops at our new Arts Centre in Derby called 'The Quad'. Sounds too complicated to get involved in, so sent an email so they have my contact details, but have not heard anything back. Will have to think of something else...
