The plan for today was a visit to Cannes, followed by lunch and a trip to a perfumerie in the afternoon at Grasse. Cannes was a complete wash out. First we watched surfers on the beach in their wet suits trying to ride the waves. Then during a brief lull in the rain, we just about made it around their Christmas Fair stalls and found something to eat - but as a consequence my feet were soaked.
