May 2009


04.05.09: May Day so no class

05.05.09: Card Making Class, Alfreton

06.05.09: Sarah popped in to see me as she had been holding a workshop in Belper

07.05.09: Jewellery Class at Sure Start Chaddesden

08.05.09: Met up with Irene and Penny who used to be Learning Partners in my Craft Class at Rycote. Lovely to see them both again! Had a look round the art exhibition at the Cathedral tea shop and then treated them to a cup of coffee. Very windy, but sunny too.

09.05.09: Went to Smalley and photographed lovely Flower festival in the church. Gail invited Lucy and I over to her local church to take part in a quiz (Graham away). Went back to her house afterwards for a cup of tea.

11.05.09: Jewellery Class at Allen Park. Made a beaded Kilt pin.

12.05.09: Card Making Class, Alfreton

13.05.09: New piano pupil, Natalie (aged 5) came with mum and big sister for introductory lesson. Natalie will cope well with the piano, coping with her will be the challenge...

14.05.09: Jewellery Class at Sure Start Chaddesden

15.05.09: Attended opening of new Village Adult Education Centre. Andrew Flack in attendance.

16.05.09: Tutor Conference at Kedleston Road. Always a bit tedious, but nice to mix with other tutors. Highlight of the day: After lunch activity: "Have you ever...?"

17.05.09: Graham home from US.

11.05.09: Jewellery Class at Allen Park. Made a corsage

19.05.09: Card Making Class, Alfreton, exploding boxes. Rainbow in field.

20.05.09: Sent Pat a Good Luck On Your Retirement' card. Natalie's first piano lesson on her own...

14.05.09: Jewellery Class at Sure Start Chaddesden, netting on bottles.

15.05.09: New taster session

22.05.09: Follow up OTL with Mina at Villlage after Jewellery class.

28.05.09: Chris invited me to attend Sandy Black's inaugural talk at the London College of Fashion at 6.30pm. Went late afternoon and had a walk around Hyde Park. Very warm!

31.05.09: Lucy and I went to Bead fair at Nantwich. Very warm day. Great fair, only £1.00 to get in. Had brilliant lunch at The Boot, felt as though I was now 'cured'.
