Nottingham is lucky to have a newly built art gallery. To celebrate its opening no expense has been spared (as in no expense) and there is an exhibition of David Hockney's work. I took Robert along and he was really impressed. I, on the other hand was disappointed not with the gallery, but with the exhibition. Am I the only one brave enough to speak out and question Mr Hockney's ability? Does a splash of paint, poorly executed really constitute the essence of a wave? In the adjacent gallery, they must have known I was coming and constructed the painting in this photo, it said:"There will also be things that I don't like that I don't like"...
